Biography
Anri Basilaia was born in 1960 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He studied at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and film at the Georgia State University. He began his career as a musician, and now works as a painter. Since 2002 he has lived in Paris, France. He has participated in the exhibitions in Georgia and abroad including: Gallery 9, Passenger, Tbilisi, Georgia, 2009; Positions, Georgian Artists from Europe, National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, 2011; Musicians Paint, G. Chubinashvili National Research Center, 2015; and Comme Afrique, Caucase, Art Villa Garikula. 2018.
